Chapman University’s student-athletes matched their record number with 221 SCIAC All-Academic selections in for the 2018-19 school year. The Panthers had the fourth-most selections of the nine schools in the SCIAC.
The Women’s Golf Coaches Association announced the Division III All-Region teams last night at the awards banquet at the National Championships. Senior Emily Lewis is the first golfer in Chapman history to be honored on the All-West Region team after an incredible three years with the Panthers.
A historic run in to the NCAA Division III Championships came to an end as senior Emily Lewis narrowly missed the cut. Lewis was the first female golfer and second-ever Chapman golfer to participate in the championship event.
Senior Emily Lewis continued to establish school history as she became the first Chapman female golfer to earn a bid to the NCAA Championships. Lewis was one of five individuals selected to compete among the tournament field.
Senior Emily Lewis finished in the top-10 and the Chapman University women’s golf team finished fourth at the SCIAC Championships. Lewis was consistent through three rounds of the tournament to tie for seventh.
The Chapman University women’s golf team fell back one spot in the standings to fourth place after shooting a 332 (+44) after the second day of competition at the SCIAC Championships. Senior Marisa Bhanubandh propelled eight spots up in the individual standings.
Two players are in the top-10 and the Chapman University women’s golf team is in third after the first round of the SCIAC Championships. Senior Emily Lewis paced the Panthers with freshman Kristen Lee not far behind.
The regular season comes to a close as the Chapman University women’s golf team tees it up for three more rounds at the SCIAC Championships on April 18-20. The championship tournament moves to Brookside Golf Club in Pasadena, Calif. for 2019.
The Chapman University women’s golf team took fifth place at SCIAC #2, led by a top-10 finish from senior Emily Lewis. The Panthers were one of three teams to shoot a 307 on day two of the tournament to move up one spot in the team standings.
Senior Emily Lewis became the first Chapman women’s golfer to finish a round under par to lead the Chapman University women’s golf team at the Bulldog Classic. Lewis was one-under par in her first round and finished the tournament in a tie for seventh place individually. As a team, the Panthers took fifth of 12 teams at the two-round tournament, finishing 27-over par with a 623.
In just its third season in program history, the Chapman University women’s golf team returns to the links after taking second place at the SCIAC Championships to finish the 2018 season. Returning to the squad to lead the Panthers to another Championship is senior and All-SCIAC First Teamer Emily Lewis.
The Chapman University women’s golf team took first place overall at the Marymount Fall Invite last week with a team score of 640 (+64). Senior Emily Lewis led the way with a first place finish at the two-round match.
VENTURA, Calif. – The Chapman University women’s golf team opened up their Fall 2018 season at the California State Intercollegiate Tournament that featured 12 different teams. The Panthers took ninth place with a team score of 634 (+58) over the two-round tournament.
