  • 221 Panthers honored as SCIAC All-Academic

    Chapman University’s student-athletes matched their record number with 221 SCIAC All-Academic selections in for the 2018-19 school year. The Panthers had the fourth-most selections of the nine schools in the SCIAC.
  • Toole ends decorated career as CSCAA Scholar All-American

    Recently graduated Kellyn Toole made it a clean four-year sweep as a College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-American. After three recognitions as Honorable Mention, Toole qualified for the First Team list after her senior year.

    Chapman University Athletics announced its annual senior departmental awards at the Sports Appreciation Jog-a-Thon earlier this afternoon. The department awarded both male and female Student-Athlete of the Year awards as well as male and female Leadership Awards.

    Senior Kellyn Toole has rewritten Chapman’s diving record book in the last four years and added to her legacy in her final trip to the NCAA Region 2 Diving Championships. Toole placed third on the 3-meter board on Friday to qualify for next week’s NCAA Division III Championships.

    Three school records fell as the men’s and women’s swim teams finished up their 2018-19 seasons on the final day of the SCIAC Championships. The women finished in fifth place overall with a total score of 413.50 while the men took seventh with a score of 287.50.
  • Reeves sets school record, three Panthers swim in championship finals

    Sophomore Jailey Reeves narrowly beat her own school record and the Chapman University swim teams saw three Panthers swim in the championship finals on day three of the SCIAC Championships. The women’s team heads into the final day in fifth place with 297 points while the men are in seventh place with 210.5 points.

    Two school records fell and the women’s 200 free relay team reached the podium on day of the SCIAC Swimming Championships in Commerce, Calif. After two days, the women’s team sits in fourth place in the team standings and men’s team is in seventh.

    Senior Kellyn Toole wrapped up the 2019 SCIAC Diving Championships with a fourth-place finish on the 3-meter board on Sunday. The senior finished in the top-4 in every SCIAC event of her career and will dive on both boards at the NCAA Regionals.

    The Chapman University men and women’s swim teams lost to Occidental in their final dual meet of the season on Saturday. However, the Panthers had several standout performances during the meet, earning multiple first and second place finishes. Ultimately, the men’s team fell 175-80, and the women’s team fell 221-48.
  • Swim and dive teams defeat Whittier in SCIAC meet

    The Chapman University men and women’s swimming and diving teams defeated Whittier college on Saturday. Both the men and women’s teams won 11 events, the men with a team score of 166-65, and the women with a score of 167-104.
  • Kulinich, Davis earn SCIAC swimmers of the week

    Two members of the Chapman University swim and dive teams were awarded with SCIAC men’s and women’s Swimmer of the Week after strong performances against Biola this past weekend. Freshman Michael Kulinich and junior Molly Davis each earned the award for the first time this season.
  • Swim & dive teams take on Biola in final home meet

    The Chapman University men’s swimming & diving team captured a team victory over Biola in the final home meet of the season. The Panther men captured eight event wins in the 124-72 team victory. The women’s team fell 131-48 to the NCAA Division II Eagles.

    Both Chapman University swimming & diving teams earned recognition as Scholar All-America teams from the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA). The academic award is announced every semester with both Panther teams earning the recognition for the 11th semester in a row.

    Senior Kellyn Toole put up season-high scores on the diving board to lead the Chapman University swimming & diving teams in a double dual against Pomona-Pitzer and La Verne. Both Panther squads fell to Pomona-Pitzer but defeated La Verne.

    The Chapman University women’s swim and dive team celebrated their seniors with a 200-110 victory over visiting Mills College earlier this afternoon. Despite competing against themselves, the men’s squad also celebrated four graduating seniors.

    The Chapman University men’s and women’s swim and dive teams competed against Redlands and Caltech at the first SCIAC dual meet of the year this past Saturday. Senior Kellyn Toole and freshman Nancy Zhu helped lead the women to a 141-97 victory over Caltech.

    The Chapman University men’s and women’s swim teams competed at the three-day Collegiate Winter Invite this past weekend. Both teams posted strong showings with the men taking fourth place overall and the women taking seventh.

    Freshman Brandon Leu was dubbed the No. 1 male swimmer at the Bulldog Pentathlon on Saturday, Oct. 20, earning SCIAC Men’s Swimmer of the Week.

    A pair of freshmen were the top finishers in their respective debuts for the Chapman University swimming & diving teams at the Redlands Pentathlon. Brandon Leu won the pentathlon on the men’s side while Nancy Zhu took second on the women’s side.
