Six Chapman University womens softball players have been named to the Association of Division III Independents All-Independent team. Freshman C Michelle Pitts was named to the first team while five of her teammates were named to the second team.
Behind a no-hit, 12-strikeout performance from its pitching staff, the Chapman University softball team defeated visiting La Sierra University 8-0 on Sunday afternoon at Hart Park in the final regular season game for both teams.
