    Chapman University’s Donald P. Kennedy Intercollegiate Athletic Program will host a Night of Champions and Hall of Fame Inductions on October 28, 2017 to induct its 37th Hall of Fame class. Former Director of Athletics David Currey, baseball standout Brian Sanders ’03, two-sport star Linda Ly ’10 and track & field national champion Joe Phillips ’79 will be enshrined in the hall of fame.

    Chapman University celebrated another outstanding year in athletics with its annual Jog-a-thon and Sports Appreciation Day at Wilson Field on Friday afternoon. In addition to celebrating the University’s first-ever SCIAC football and men’s basketball (co) championships and recognizing retiring Director of Athletics David Currey, the Panthers honored five seniors with the Department of Athletics’ annual awards including co-Male Athletes of the Year for the first time in Chapman history.

    Chapman University celebrated another banner year in athletics with its annual Jog-a-thon and Sports Appreciation Day at Wilson Field on Friday afternoon. Besides celebrating the school’s first-ever SCIAC championship (women’s basketball) and another SCIAC Tournament title (men’s basketball), the Panthers recognized four seniors with the Department of Athletics annual awards.

It will be the youngest cast of inductees in school history as all three honorees graduated from Chapman in the 1990s. The banquet will begin with a reception at 4 p.m. and precede Chapman’s home football game against Cal Lutheran University at 7 p.m. at Wilson Field.

    Chapman University and the Donald P. Kennedy Department of Intercollegiate Athletics host its annual Athletics Hall of Fame ceremony and banquet on Oct. 18, 2008. For the first time ever, Chapman will induct a team into the Hall of Fame: the 1968 National College Division championship baseball team.

The banquet will begin with a reception at 4 p.m. and precede Chapman’s final home football game of the season against Cal Lutheran University at 7 p.m. at Wilson Field. The three inductees will be Bill Trumbo ’61 (baseball/basketball), Doug Neely ’88 (soccer) and Stephanie Carew ’99 (softball).
