Senior Samantha Whalen helped lead the Chapman softball team to a perfect 4-0 week as the Panthers swept Cal Lutheran on Wednesday afternoon and Whittier on Saturday afternoon. Whalen took care of business in the box, in the circle and in the field as Chapman stayed in third place in the SCIAC standings.
The Livermore native hit .500 with eight RBIs and five runs scored. Two of her six hits were extra base hits, including a two-RBI double in the first game against Cal Lutheran and an inside-the-park home run against Cal Lutheran in the night cap.
