Mary is both the winningest and longest-tenured coach in Chapman volleyball history, finishing .500 or better in 16 of her 20 seasons. The Panthers have made seven NCAA tournament appearances. Cahill is also in her second year serving as Senior Women's Administrator at Chapman.

She has had 25 Division III All-West Region athletes play for her in the past 10 years, three All-Americans and five Academic All-District VIII selections. Despite many great years at Chapman, she has reached an unprecedented level of success in the past eight years, producing consistently winning teams. Her eight winning seasons in the last nine years is the most successful run she's had in her coaching career. In fact, the Panthers have won 15 or more matches now in five consecutive seasons.
