    An impressive number of Chapman University student-athletes were again recognized for their work in the classroom. The Panthers placed 178 student-athletes on the SCIAC’s annual All-Academic team, the conference announced on Thursday.

    Junior OH Kylie Cooke led the Chapman University women’s volleyball team to a pair of road wins to finish tied for fourth in conference at 8-8. She had 29 kills and 17 digs to go along with a pair of blocks over the week.
  • Women’s volleyball sweeps two matches on Senior Day

    The Chapman University volleyball team earned a doubleheader sweep over Oberlin College and California Institute of Technology on Saturday at the Hutton Sports Center to send the Panthers' senior pair out with a pair of wins.
  • Women's volleyball takes early lead but falls in four to Cal Lu

    The Chapman University women’s volleyball team stunned No. 5 Cal Lutheran early on but eventually fell 17-24, 25-21, 25-20, 25-22 to the defending national champions. The Panthers (10-12, 5-8 SCIAC) took the first set and built early leads in all four sets.
  • Chapman rallies to defeat Occidental
    October 15, 2016
    The Chapman University women’s volleyball team rallied from a 1-0 deficit to beat Occidental College 17-25, 25-20, 26-24, 25-22 Friday night at the Hutton Sports Center. Sophomore Courtney Justus and junior Kylie Cooke led the Panthers with 17 and 14 kills respectively on the night, while sophomore Lindsey Johnson recorded a career-high 18 digs.
  • Volleyball dominates in sweep of La Sierra
    October 05, 2016
    The Chapman University women’s volleyball team dominated on both sides of the net to earn a 26-24, 25-23, 25-13 sweep of visiting La Sierra. The Panthers (9-8) hit a season-high of .327 as a team, put up another season-high with 10 total blocks and sophomore Sara Utsugi had 21 digs in the sweep.
  • Panthers defeat Redlands 3-1 in homecoming match

    Four Panthers registered double-digit kills in a 3-1 victory over University of Redlands at the Hutton Sports Center. The Chapman University women’s volleyball team defeated the Bulldogs 25-19, 18-25, 25-23, 25-23 on Saturday evening in a homecoming match.
  • Panthers fall 3-1 to Whittier

    The Chapman University women's volleyball team fell to Whittier 18-25, 22-25, 25-22, 25-18 on Friday night at the Hutton Sports Center. Sophomore Lauren Friend had the hot hand at the net registering a career-high 14 kills, while hitting .722 on the night.
  • Chapman earns first home sweep over Sagehens
    September 24, 2016
    The Chapman University women's volleyball team swept Pomona-Pitzer 25-22, 29-27, 25-14 on Saturday afternoon at the Hutton Sports Center. Three Panthers recorded double-digit kills in the match led by sophomore Courtney Justus who registered a double-double with 11 kills and 10 digs.
  • Women's volleyball takes five-setter from La Verne
    September 20, 2016
    After winning the first two sets but dropping the next two, the Chapman University women’s volleyball team closed out a 25-23, 26-24, 18-25, 10-25, 15-13 win over visiting La Verne on Tuesday. The Panthers snapped a three-match skid with the win to move to 5-4 overall and 1-2 in the SCIAC.
  • No. 2 Claremont sweeps Chapman in home opener
    September 16, 2016
    The Chapman University women's volleyball team fell 26-24, 25-16, 25-16 to No. 2-ranked Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Friday night in the Panthers home opener at the Hutton Sports Center. Despite a strong showing from the Panthers against the Athenas in set one, Claremont edged Chapman in sets two and three to extend their eight-match winning streak to nine.
  • Cooke leads women's volleyball to 3-1 opening weekend

    The Chapman University women’s volleyball team went 3-1 at the Pacific Coast Classic to open the 2016 season. Junior Kylie Cooke led the Panthers offensively, averaging 3.57 kills per set over the four matches.
  • Women's volleyball earns AVCA academic award

    The Chapman University women’s volleyball team once again earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association’s Team Academic Award for the 2015-16 school year. Chapman was part of a record-breaking list for the AVCA’s annual academic award.
