ORANGE, Calif. – The academic recognition continued to roll in for Panther teams with the Chapman University women's lacrosse taking its turn to grab the headline. The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association recognized Chapman as an IWLCA Zag Sports Academic Honor Squad, as well as giving special recognition to five student-athletes.

Seniors Kelsey Mackin, Tessa Oliaro, Dillan Watts, Katie Swinnerton and Stacey Zuppa all eared inclusion on the IWLCA Zag Sports Academic Honor Roll. All five owned a cumulative GPA above a 3.5 to earn the academic honor. The Panthers accounted for five of the 532 total honorees from all levels of college lacrosse.

As a team, the Panthers posted a 3.39 GPA to earn the academic team distinction for the first time in program history. A total of 308 squads from all levels of college lacrosse earned the honor with a 3.0 GPA or better at the end of the 2016-17 school year.
