    A huge first quarter and a career-high from sophomore Lucy Criswell led the Chapman University women’s basketball team to a 73-61 win over Hope International on Thursday. The Panthers (14-3) won for the second night in a row and ran their winning streak to seven games.

    For the second consecutive week, sophomore Lucy Criswell was honored as the SCIAC Athlete of the Week. She continued a dominant SCIAC season with 16.7 points and seven rebounds per game over three games, including her first career double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds against Whittier.
  • Dominant defense leads women's basketball to win over CMS

    A program-best start became even better as the Chapman University women’s basketball team locked down Claremont-Mudd-Scripps for a 68-56 victory. With the win, the Panthers (12-3, 7-0) won for the sixth straight game and took sole possession of first place in the SCIAC.

    The Chapman University women’s basketball continued its historic SCIAC run with a commanding 80-54 win over Whittier (6-10, 3-4 SCIAC) tonight at Hutton Sports Center. The Panthers (11-3, 6-0 SCIAC) are off to their best start in conference play since their inaugural season in 2012.
  • Criswell earns SCIAC honors after dominant week

    Sophomore Lucy Criswell was selected as the SCIAC Athlete of the Week after her dominating performance last week. She helped the Panthers win two consecutive SCIAC games, including a huge 35-point win over La Verne on Saturday where she led Chapman with 19 points and seven rebounds, shooting 4-for-5 from three point range. Against the Bulldogs, Criswell tallied 14 points on 6-of-11 shooting, pulling in six rebounds.
  • Criswell sets career best in win over Caltech

    The Chapman University women’s basketball team secured its second win of SCIAC play in a 74-59 win over Caltech earlier this evening. After recording a career-high night just over a week ago, sophomore Lucy Criswell set a new career best with 20 points against the Beavers.

    The Chapman University women’s basketball team fell 73-58 to the defending national champions from Amherst College in the final game of 2017. Senior Jaime Hum-Nishikado led the Panthers (6-3) with 15 points.

    The Chapman University women’s basketball team hosted Benedictine University of Arizona on Friday night and came out with the 90-84 victory. Senior Jaime Hum-Nishikado helped lead the Panthers with a career-high 28 points against the Redhawks.

    The Chapman University women’s basketball team fell 75-63 to the visiting George Fox University on the second night of the Panther Poet Classic. The Panthers were led again by sophomore Lucy Criswell, who put up double-digit points for the second night in a row.

    The Chapman University women’s basketball team saw a halftime lead erased as it suffered its first loss of the season, 69-65, to visiting Hiram on Thursday. Sophomore Lucy Criswell had a career-high with 19 points in the loss.

    The Chapman University women’s basketball team never trailed and cruised to a 76-47 victory against the short-handed Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens in the Panthers’ home and SCIAC opener. The Panthers won their fifth game in a row to begin the year and won their SCIAC opener for the second year in a row.
  • Fajardo selected as SCIAC Athlete of the Week

    Junior Jaryn Fajardo was nominated as the SCIAC Athlete of the Week after a dominating performance on the court this past week. She helped lead the Panthers to a pair of wins over Concordia M’head and McMurray College at the Redlands Tip-Off Classic.
