The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) announced its All-West Region teams on Tuesday and Chapman University men’s soccer players Mauricio Alfonso, Jimmy Adranly and Andy Stevenson all were selected.

The Chapman University men’s soccer team was blanked 1-0 by Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in the opening round of the NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer Championship on Saturday night at Farquhar Field on the campus of the University of Redlands.

Regular season ends on a sour note for Chapman
The regular season came to a close for the Chapman University men’s soccer team with a 3-1 defeat against visiting La Sierra University on Sunday night at Wilson Field. The Panthers will await word from the NCAA Championships committee on Nov. 7 as to whether their 11-4-3 record is good enough to earn a Pool C (at-large) berth into the postseason tournament.

Back home, Panthers sweep Slugs and extend unbeaten streak
The Chapman University men’s soccer team returned home to a resounding 3-0 win over West Region rival UC Santa Cruz at Wilson Field on Friday night. The Panthers swept the home-and-home series with the Banana Slugs for the first time ever and extended their current unbeaten streak to eight games (5-0-3).

Adranly named SCIAC Male Athlete of the Week
Chapman University senior men’s soccer and football standout Jimmy Adranly has been named SCIAC Male Athlete of the Week. He becomes the first Panther in school history to earn the award as Chapman is in its first year as a member of the conference.

Men's soccer alumnus makes it pro
Former Chapman University men’s soccer player Brandon Young ’07 has been named to the roster of Orange County’s own professional indoor soccer team the Anaheim Bolts. The Bolts begin the 2011 season in the Professional Arena Soccer League on Nov. 12 and will play their home games at the Anaheim Convention Center.

The first men’s soccer regional rankings from the NCAA were released on Wednesday and Chapman University is currently No. 2 in the West Region. The Panthers are currently 9-3-2 this season with four regular season matches remaining.

Shaking off the rust from an 11-day layoff between games, the Chapman University men’s soccer team scored three second-half goals to defeat visiting Berry College (Ga.) at Wilson Field on Monday night in physical affair that included 11 cautions and three ejections.

Late goal helps Panthers to a draw with Hope International
A late goal in regulation was enough to give the Chapman University men’s soccer team a 1-1 tie with visiting Hope International University at Wilson Field on Wednesday night. The Panthers scored their only goal of the game with just four and a half minutes remaining in regulation to run their home record to 4-1-1 this season.

A second-half scoring outburst by the Chapman University men’s soccer team helped to secure a 4-0 victory over visiting Cal Lutheran University on Monday night at Wilson Field. The Panthers scored three goals in a 10 minute span to improve to 6-1 this season.

It’s been 16 years since the Chapman University men’s soccer team opened the season winning its first four matches. The Panthers did that on Friday night, defeating visiting Pomona-Pitzer Colleges 2-0 at Wilson Field and improving to 4-0 this year.

Four first half goals give Chapman 5-0 win over Occidental
Once again, the Chapman University men’s soccer team didn’t waste any time scoring its first goal of the game. Junior F Mauricio Alfonso scored just 4:37 into the game and the team scored four goals in the first half as Chapman ran away with a 5-0 win over Occidental College on Wednesday night at Wilson Field.

Chapman University's men's and women's soccer teams - originally scheduled to open the 2011 season on Wednesday - will instead scrimmage their opponents per NCAA rules. The NCAA Division III restricts soccer teams from playing prior to Sept. 1.
