Luzar powers Chapman to win over Rutgers-Newark
Another strong offensive performance, including a 12-hit attack and a four-run sixth inning, secured a 7-2 victory for the Chapman University baseball team over Rutgers-Newark University Saturday night at Hart Park. Chapman senior 1B Matt Luzar was 4-for-4, including a solo home run in the fourth inning to put the Panthers ahead for good.

Comeback bid falls short for Chapman in 9-6 loss
The Chapman University baseball team’s late-inning rally fell short, as Cal State San Marcos pulled out a 9-6 victory on Friday afternoon at Hart Park. The Panthers’ offense could not cash in on multiple scoring opportunities, leaving the bases loaded twice while stranding 12 runners.

Behind a complete-game three-hitter from freshman RHP Brian Rauh, the Chapman University baseball team split a Monday doubleheader with Southern California rival Pomona-Pitzer Colleges and captured the rubber match in the three-game season series with a 2-1 win at Hart Park.

"Sweep" success; Panthers top McMurry 9-1 in series finale
With the game tied, the No. 7 Chapman University baseball team scored eight two-out runs in the fourth inning against McMurry University as they cruised to a 9-1 victory on Saturday afternoon at Hart Park, completing the three-game sweep.

Offense stays red hot as Panthers roll against McMurry
The chill in the air at Hart Park on Friday did nothing to cool down the bats of the Chapman University baseball team. The Panthers swept a doubleheader from visiting McMurry University, scoring 23 runs in the two games and winning 13-4 and 10-3 to improve to 6-1 overall this season.

Beginning with tomorrow’s softball doubleheader against Concordia University at 5 p.m. and Friday’s baseball game against McMurry (Texas) University at 2 p.m., fans can now view live stats for Chapman University softball and baseball home games.

Radio waves to stream from Hart Park once again
For the third year in a row, the Chapman University baseball team will be collaborating with the school’s on-campus radio station, Chapman Radio, for the 2010 season. Chapman Radio will be broadcasting the games live on the internet at www.chapmanradio.com.

Freshmen arms help Panthers complete three-game sweep
For the third straight game, the Chapman University baseball team posted double-digits in hits and runs, and three freshmen pitchers combined on a six-hitter as the Panthers defeated visiting Whittier College 15-3, completing the season-opening three-game sweep of the Poets.

Baseball begins season No. 4 in ABCA top-30 poll
The Chapman University baseball team enters the new decade with a few streaks intact and one of those has been extended another year already. The Panthers will open the 2010 campaign ranked No. 4 in NCAA Division III according to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Collegiate Baseball top-30 poll.
