DOUG AIKEN Doug is in his sixth year as director of the annual Sun West Softball Fastpitch Camps after five highly successful summers and three winter camps. Doug's background in softball goes back to 1999 when he took control of one of the largest small-college fastpitch tournaments in the nation as director of the Sun West Softball Tournament. He began coaching at Chapman University in 2001, as assistant coach in charge of catchers and infielders and has seen the Panthers reach the playoffs in five straight years, including the NCAA Division III World Series in 2004 and 2005. Doug was also a member of the Chapman baseball team in 1996. |
Janet is in her 15th season as head coach at Chapman, which is widely regarded as one of the top programs in Division III. Under her direction, the Panthers have earned regional championships seven times, along with a national championship in 1995. Her career winning percentage of .746 (454-155) ranks among the top-20 active and all-time NCAA Division III coaches. Janet earned All-America honors at Cal State Fullerton, leading the nation in home runs two straight seasons and leading the Titans to a third-place finish in the College World Series. During her playing days at Chapman, she was also named to the All-America team. | ||
