Sophomore Lucy Criswell dominated on both offense and defense for the Panthers over the holiday break. The Portland, Ore. native averaged 16 points over the course of five games, including scoring a career-high 20 points against Caltech on Monday, Jan. 1. On defense, Criswell averaged four rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game. The sophomore ranks second on the Chapman squad with 10.3 points per game and leads the Panthers and ranks second in the SCIAC with 1.3 blocks per game this season.
Criswell set a career-best in points in the first game of the break with 19 points against Hiram College, but broke it just over a week later when she tallied 20 points against the Beavers. The sophomore shot 4-for-9 from beyond the arc, scoring three of those in the first quarter alone.
