Michelle Pitts - Softball

In the last 11 days, the rookie catcher has raised her batting average nearly 100 points and currently leads the Panthers with a .383 mark. In the last nine games, Pitts is batting .462 (12-for-26) with four doubles. On Thursday, she went 3-for-3 with a double and a run scored. She followed that up on Monday with a 2-for-4 performance and her first career home run in the Panthers' 8-7 win over Whitworth College (Wash.). And on Wednesday, the freshman was 2-for-3 versus Hamline University (Minn.) with an RBI double. She leads Chapman with a .553 slugging percentage and her five doubles are also currently tied for the team lead.
